Greetings from our founder!

Robert L. Cooley, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, CASp

Principal, CEO

Robert has extensive experience in the design and construction of sustainable commercial building projects ranging from restaurants to adaptive use to libraries and high-end lifestyle retail shopping centers, just to name a few. Before founding Cooley Architectural Corporation, for over a decade he managed and helped execute projects of varying scales and complexities. As a licensed architect and a Certified Accessibility Specialist (CASp), Robert offers our clients peace of mind that our projects will meet current accessibility requirements while setting forth a design approach that stretches the boundaries of Universal Design, even on a budget. Robert holds a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and a post-professional Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon. A proud Bay Area native, Robert enjoys going on adventurous hikes through nature, surfing the Pacific, and spending time with his family and friends. He also appreciates his clients and the diverse array of cultures and people he has the opportunity to serve and work with.
